recurring themes over the past three weeks or so:
1. satisfaction from/in God alone
2. God doesn’t compare me to anyone
3. comparing myself to another is unnecessary

anyone remember the end of the squid and the whale? yeah, that was beautiful. and the song is great. i would say something about my appreciation for it. however, i’ve begun to nearly dislike the word. i appreciate, but there’s more to it than that sometimes. appreciate used to fit. it doesn’t always fit anymore. for me, anyway, i think i’m trying to grasp something else here. deeper appreciation, perhaps? understanding, emersion. emerson. thoreau.?

how fitting that i can’t remember the word for that.
